Methodology Review

CoinAPI is committed to maintaining the relevance and effectiveness of our index methodologies through regular reviews:

  1. Annual Review: A comprehensive review of all index methodologies is conducted annually.

    Process:

    • Assessment of methodology effectiveness in meeting stated objectives
    • Evaluation of recent market developments and their potential impact
    • Review of stakeholder feedback and suggestions
    • Consideration of any operational issues encountered

  2. Ad-hoc Reviews: Triggered by significant market events, regulatory changes, or stakeholder feedback.

  3. Review Outcomes: May include:

    • Confirmation of existing methodology
    • Minor adjustments to parameters or processes
    • Major methodology changes (subject to consultation process)
    • Discontinuation of an index (in extreme cases)

  4. Documentation: All review processes and outcomes are thoroughly documented and, where appropriate, made available to stakeholders.
